Post-Graduate Studies
Studying political science is interesting, but it has no labor field. In order to make my way in the job market, I need to study for a master's degree. My first option is to study for a continuing master's degree in political science. That way I can start the master's degree when I am in the last year of my degree.
I really like being able to study political science in depth, because that way I will be able to develop important methodological skills for academic research. My interests revolve around qualitative methods, trying to include discourse analysis as a methodological tool to understand reality and study it.
In any case, as a way of professional and academic development, I would like to study outside Chile. Whether it is Mexico, Bolivia, United Kingdom, France or Spain, I would like to be able to study a PhD in social sciences, perhaps in sociology. My interests are in the relationship between civil society movements and the state and how they impact formal and informal institutions. That's why I'm studying political science and then I'd like to study sociology.
sounds like a great plan, Claudio !
